Volunteer Training & Appreciation Party

 

Dear Volunteers,

 

We are working hard pulling together loose ends.  Committees are beginning to reach out to their teams.  If you are working on Marshals, Standard Bearers, Walking Scorers, Transportation or Supply Distribution, you have likely been contacted by your committee chair (please double check spam/junk files).  If you requested another Committee, please know that we are sorting through all the details and will be in touch with you soon. 

The GOOD NEWS, we have scheduled our Volunteer Appreciation Party which will be held on Monday, March 13th at 5:30 pm in the Conquistador Club Hospitality Tent.  This celebration includes a delicious meal, adult beverages, raffle prizes and dancing.  There will be a small fee of $25 if you would like to bring a guest.  Please RSVP to margaret@tucsonconquistadores.com or call 520-571-0400 to let us know if you will be attending.  If you plan on bringing a guest to the appreciation party, please RSVP for them as well and payment can be made over the phone or at Uniform pick up.  Volunteers, please be sure to WEAR YOUR BADGE to the Volunteer Appreciation Party, your badge will get you through the line quickly.  Paid guests will receive "tickets" when you pick up your uniform.  

WE APPRECIATE YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT AND PATIENCE…without a Title Sponsor, we are working on a limited budget and could not do this without you!  We look forward to seeing you at the formal training sessions March 11 & 12!  More details on training to follow.

 Walking Scorers                 9:00-10:30 am

 Long Drive                         10:30-11:30 am

 Supply Distribution            1:00-2:00 pm

 Standard Bearers                2:00-3:00 pm

 Shuttles/Golf Carts             3:30-4:30 pm

 Miscellaneous Training Dates*

First Aid -  Tuesday, March 14th at 9 am at the First Aid Tent by clubhouse

 

Corporate Hospitality – Friday, March 10 at 4:30 pm in the Champions Suite

Marshals - show up an hour before your shift on Wednesday and report to your hole captain in the Volunteer Compound area

Office Support - training upon showing up for first shift in the tournament office (Desert Willow)

TV Spotters –  Friday, March 17 at 11:00 am at TV compound (2 hours before air time)

Will Call/Admissions – Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early on the day of your first shift and the Conquistador lead for that shift will give you a brief update on the day’s assignment.

VOLUNTEER GOLF DAY

  To qualify for "Free Golf Day," volunteers are required to work 3 days (24 hours).  Please let us know if you would like to be on more than one committee.  We have several committees that still need additional volunteers!  Golf days are scheduled for Saturday, April 8th or Sunday, April 30th at Omni Tucson National Resort.
